Our Story

At the heart of Country Roads Beer Co. are two passionate founders, Frankie Weinberg and Sophia Hibbs, whose diverse backgrounds and shared vision have culminated in a vibrant community hub in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

Frankie Weinberg, a native of Renick, West Virginia, graduated with a degree in chemistry from Missouri State College in Springfield. His journey into the brewing industry began with roles at Sweetwater Brewing Companies, Notch’d Brewing Company, and The North American Sake Brewery, where he honed his skills and deepened his appreciation for the art and science of brewing. Returning to West Virginia, Frankie joined Greenbrier Valley Brewing in Lewisburg, starting as a keg washer and advancing through various positions, gaining comprehensive experience in brewing operations.

Sophia Hibbs, originally from Florida, pursued studies in computer animation with aspirations of working on animated films. However, she discovered a passion for interior design while working at a closet company in Orlando. Demonstrating exceptional sales and design skills, Sophia transitioned into a successful career as a design consultant for custom cabinetry, eventually establishing her own business, Innovative Custom Designs.

Their paths converged in West Virginia, where they combined their expertise to establish Country Roads Beer Co. Their mission extends beyond crafting exceptional beers; they aim to revitalize the historic Big Draft Brewing complex, transforming it into a community gathering place that celebrates local culture and fosters connections among residents and visitors alike.
